Last year students asked to learn about coding, engineering and robotics. However, we didn't have the materials for them to explore these topics. With these kits the students will be able to not only learn the concepts related to STEAM but they will be able to self-direct their learning. We hope to have them first build the various items in the kits and then to find ways to modify and test their creations. The students would then help lead a younger group of students in an after school club to develop their own communication and collaboration skills as well as leadership and presentation skills. Not only will our students learn content that will allow them to be competitive in the global community, but they will also be learning core values that are necessary to be continually successful in our global communities.
