English is different from other classes that teach straight content; we use literature as a vehicle to teach the critical, and often highly complex skills required by the Common Core State Standards. It's important that a text is sufficiently rich, engaging, accessible, and relevant, so as to be able to teach those skills critical for not only college and career success, but for success in life. That's where you come in...without your help we simply don't have enough texts for each student to have their own copy during a pandemic. They just can't share books. Please help!
