As an elementary school teacher with fourteen years of experience, I am always researching and looking for new items to use in my classroom to improve the learning atmosphere for my students. Over the years, I have found that classroom organization by both the teacher and the students is necessary for time management. When it comes to the organization of individual student supplies, no object is more helpful than the heavy duty seat pocket. A seat pocket is a heavy cloth that slides over the top of a student chair, with storage pockets for student supplies. Having the supplies nearby and at the ready means that students don't waste time and focus getting up to walk to their cubbies in the back of the classroom. It also encourages the use of individual student supplies even when students may sit grouped at a table. This helps stop the spread of germs from student to student, which occurs more frequently when students share group supplies. I have used seat pockets to help my students for the last five years and my old set is wearing thin. A new class set of seat pockets would help a new batch of my Sea Turtles stay organized and healthy. Please help us accomplish this goal!
