With each passing year, kids become more and more reluctant about the idea of sitting down and reading a book. The notion that they could also enjoy reading is a pretty out there concept to most teenagers. Through my own professional development and research, I believe that allowing choice for students to discover novels, perspectives, and genres that intrigue them will begin to instill a love of reading in each student. This library project and all the different novels included is intended to provide numerous options for students to find a story or different perspective that resonates with them. I want students to see that reading can be fun as well as informative.
