The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them an opportunity to have a calm and welcoming classroom environment. My classroom does not have any windows so the lamps will help create a vibrant but soothing space. The books, playdoh, and multicultural crayons will be used for social emotional learning to help my young students develop skills to work with others. I want each student to feel accepted and as if they belong no matter what. All of the items listed help to encompass that daily in our classroom family. My goal is for students to have fun while learning. The STEM items (for example, Lincoln logs) allow for my students to have creativity while also learning. Students in 2nd grade still need purposeful play and I know they will love the chance to use these!
