I hope to use this project to promote my kindergarteners' learning during reading and math stations. Every day each student participates in a hands-on station during reading and math block, which takes place on the carpet with materials I provide based on our unit goals. I like having materials that can be easily reused for each group by using laminated and sheet protected surfaces, as well as clothespins that aren't as breakable to make answer choices. I also like to give my students flexibility in their work to complete it in a way that works best for their unique learning habits, such as using clipboards. An example of some lessons include doing a rhyming sort with laminated pictures, counting and choosing the correct number with a clothespin, and completing a write the room with their clipboard. By donating to our project, you will not only help me create learning materials to use during hands-on stations, but you will also provide an enhanced learning experience for my 22 kindergarten students. Students who enjoy their learning experiences, love learning and continue to strive!
