The materials in this project will help me (a first year teacher!) create a positive learning environment that inspires students and shows them that our society values their education. I want my students to have new, high-quality literature and comfy places to sit in the requested floor seats and enjoy it. I will design reading lessons around the books in the 2nd Grade Go-To Book kit which is curated by master literacy teacher/author Jennifer Serravallo. The classroom calendar and number of the day charts are morning routine essentials. We'll use them every day to get our minds warmed up and ready for a day of learning. Our classroom also needs basic supplies like Kleenex. Their generous company is currently matching your donations!
