My students work really hard to complete their assignments, participating in class, and helping their peers along the way. I want to reward those that are doing their best not only on their own assignments, but also when it comes to helping their peers. I want to implement PBIS and have toys, fidget spinners, and various prizes in my PBIS store so when students accumulate enough points, they will be able to redeem those points and receive their reward. If students don’t have enough points to purchase something, they can either buy something else or save their points and earn more the following week so they can purchase their product at a later date. Students earn points by demonstrating RISE behaviors (respect, integrity, safety and empathy).They are able to earn multiple points daily and we only focus on positive behaviors such as, raising their hand, helping their peers, completing their work, and respecting the teacher and any other adults. My students love sports , fidget spinners, slime and anything drawing related so I am going to reward them with these items. I am also asking for smaller items like emoji stickers for those students who do not have enough points to earn the big prizes.
