Remember those chairs in middle school and high school that were attached to the desk platform? There was no inside compartment to store your materials. These are ideal for upper classman who are running from one class to another all day, but not perfect for 4th grade elementary school students. Unfortunately, those are the desks my 4th grade elementary students will have this year. Because the desks in my classroom have zero capability to hold any kind of supplies or materials, and due to the utmost importance that instructional time not be wasted on large transitions, students need to have a way to be ready for their next subject quickly and efficiently. Time is so precious as it is in a six hour school day. My fourth graders need an easy spot, close to their seat, to store their binders, subject text books, and pencil holders in order for them to efficiently retrieve their materials quickly during the short transition times we have in between class subject instruction. I'd be so grateful if my students did not need to waste instructional time walking to a different area in the room, or fumbling with their backpacks in the closet to get their supplies/books. These chair organizers are a perfect solution! First thing in the morning, my students would be able to unload all of their materials they will use during the day and store them on the back of their chair for easy access. This means they would be ready for each subject faster, which means learning time would be maximized! That is the goal! Each Chairback Buddy comes with two smaller pockets to store their pencils, erasers, markers, highlighter, ruler, and calculator, and one larger, deep pocket to store their books.
