In collaboration with the Teach to One Program, our school is opening up its first ever open-concept math lab. We have 3 teachers and 150 students who are committed to accelerating their learning during this in-person school year. Lessons in the Math lab are curated for students' individual learning needs. A computer algorithm pinpoints the exact skills/concepts that will push each student to the next level. Teachers plan with student's unique learning styles in mind. Students engage in project-based and collaborative lessons that are applied in real-world contexts, hands-on (manipulatives!), and very choice-rich! The binders, binder-pouches, tab-dividers, and backpack hooks that you are supporting in this DonorsChoose project will allow our students to keep their materials organized and accessible. We want our students to take pride in what they create as mathematicians!
