My students are at the age where they are really learning how to self regulate and advocate for themselves. Items in this project will support their sensory needs which will allow them to participate more during intervention services. Students will have the option of self electing to sit in the calming corner, lay on the rug, or use the bean bag for self regulation. Fidget toys will assist in their focus as well as calm their bodies or mind. I have included items for behavior tracking and incentives when students attempt to or successfully use their coping strategies. This is an active learning environment so posters included will support their motivation and expand their vocabulary/ language acquisition.
