Most students with autism are visual learners who need a structured classroom with visible boundaries to help set them up for success. My classroom is divided up into different areas and each area serves a specific purpose throughout the day that corresponds to my students’ visual schedules. This classroom rug will be where my students will sit for circle time! The bright and vibrant colors will serve as a visual and provide clear and concise boundaries for them during our daily circle time activities. Not only will this carpet provide my students with the structure and boundary they need for circle time, but it will also transform the classroom into a welcoming environment that each one of my students deserves.
