Setting expectations and making reasonable demands encourages students to participate, but sometimes students need an extra push in the right direction. Offering students small incentives makes learning fun and motivates students to push themselves. Some students are not intrinsically motivated. Using digital review tools and offering prizes helps to motivate and challenge students that need extrinsic factors to help them focus and encourage them to do their best! Rewards give students a sense of accomplishment and encourage them to work with a goal in mind. While motivating students can be a difficult task, the rewards are more than worth it. Motivated students are more excited to learn and participate. Simply put, teaching a class full of motivated students is enjoyable for teachers and students alike.
