My students struggle to learn visually and auditorily, so these materials will help them learn hands-on. Just as some people learn by seeing, others by listening, the majority of my students need to feel and create to learn. The folding geometry figures, will help my students to learn about volume, area, perimeter, and even nets. Seeing a 3-D figure will help them to identify the name of the shape and which areas to measure for all types of geometry problems. Additionally, my students struggle to see how 1) important math is, and 2) to see how fun math can actually be when you have the right materials. These students are our future leaders, help me to provide them with the appropriate materials and knowledge to be successful.
