During the pandemic, students were victims of having school from home. For the upcoming school year, students will be in person and be exposed to a variety of hands-on learning. This will be the first time we will be having a health class. In our health class we wanted to incorporate social-emotional learning in addition to physical health and nutrition. With students returning to in-person learning, being able to recognize and identify healthy foods at home, at the grocery store, and in school is important to maintain a healthy body. Being able to have students identify and distinguish between healthy and non-healthy foods will help maintain a healthy lifestyle. Being physically fit and emotionally balanced will benefit them in the classroom and in their total well-being.
