I have worked with my students using online platforms to teach them the basics of coding, but there is NO substitution for working with an actual robot. Creating code and seeing it play out in real time with a physical object is a true way to understand the potential for creativity and skill that coding can provide students. As more and more students enter the workforce, these skills are already being demanded by the employers of today. The students need to have this hands-on experience as early as elementary school with working with coding in a real-world scenario, and tools like this will give my gifted students this experience to empower them in this area.
