Agriculture is an integral part of our everyday lives, and their experiences in my classroom often lay the foundation of agricultural knowledge. Our classroom does not have any windows, which significantly limits our abilities when covering plant science. The usage of the plant light will allow students to first-hand see and document the growth of plants through methods of propagation as well as germination. In my classroom, I value the experiences of kinesthetic application, and the listed items enhance and allow practice throughout lessons. Due to social distancing requirements, students must remain at their desks therefore through the usage of the dry erase boards, students will be able to write answer responses to display from their seat. The dry erase boards also allow students to draw or label diagrams while remaining at their seats, instead of coming to a central location in the classroom such as the board. Lastly, throughout our discussions of agriculture students are tasked with creating posters to present a concept such as a breed of cattle or horse, present a marketing plan, or draw a diagram for representing their steps utilizing the scientific method in one of the STEM labs. I also think it is important that students have the ability to display their hard work around our classroom, which is allowed through the large easel pads. Each of the items chosen is based on thought and effectiveness for my students, and each item serves to alleviate a vital need.
