The Corona Virus Pandemic has taught us that technology is now integral to society and students need to become comfortable using technology in everyday life. One of the best ways to introduce kids to technology is by combining it with favorite fun subjects such as art. Students will be able to create designs by hand or on a computer which will help in the new era of social distancing with increased focuses on individual learning.
Using new cutting printing technologies, students will be able to familiarize themselves with CAD style designs while making art projects customized to each child and making it extremely engaging for all students. Students will learn about design sizing and pixel limitations due to the cutting tools and will have to create art with technical parameters in mind. They will learn scaling, bringing math concepts into a real life issue that can be challenging and fun.
Combining art and technology will provide all students flexibility in creating unique designs that engages them. Helping students enjoy technology and becoming comfortable with new tools will better prepare students for their future where computers and technology have become ubiquitous.
