Curiosity and an active imagination can take us far beyond what our eyes can see. Items such as flash lights and safety mirrors will help my students learn by providing them more opportunity to gain hands on experience in navigating and investigating the world around them. The flexible seating will allow students a choice in sitting more comfortably while working independently. These tools will help elevate my students learning by providing more access and variety to support the different learning styles of the students within my class. Students enjoy learning more when learning is hands on and concepts are easily seen. By providing Rekenreks and Base Ten Blocks my students will be able to use a more hands on approach to learning and gain a deeper understanding of composing and decomposing numbers. This will further assist them in strengthening their additions and subtraction skills.
