My name is Ms. Hernandez, and I am a first-year elementary teacher! I am looking forward to a successful and productive school year! I am needing help collecting supplies for my students, including supplies for reading and math stations, such as puzzles, manipulatives, building blocks, dice, bins, and reading materials. I believe that that classroom should be a neat and cozy space for the students, where they learn to be organized, by learning in a clean and comfortable workspace. Students are able to expand their minds through hands-on learning, teacher-facilitated, critical thinking discussions, and exciting and engaging lessons that peak and capture students' interests. I want my students to flourish and grow in my classroom, through individual exploration, collaboration with peers, and projects that are multi-dimensional and meaningful. I will be using my dog, Cheeks, in many of my videos and modules for learning, to capture the curiosity of my students and to encourage my students, as well as teach them life lessons of kindness, perseverance, and love.
