Positive reinforcement and classroom management is essential for successful learning. I am hoping to implement "desk pets" this year as a new reward system (little eraser animals) which students can earn through tickets or other reasons. Students can also earn food (mini food erasers) for their "pets." I would also like to supply a desirable prize bin for the students which includes pencils, pop-its, slime, etc. I like to distribute tickets for positive behaviors or thoughtful comments which then culminates to an end of the week raffle! These materials, albeit non-essential, will contribute greatly to an enjoyable classroom experience.
