Drumming is a collaborative activity that brings students together to learn the importance of teamwork as an ensemble. These tubano drums will provide my students with the opportunity to build a strong foundation of rhythmic theory and notation. Students will measure rhythm through time mathematically and gain performance confidence as musician. My students love drumming. They can't wait to get their hands on the drums. When musical instruments are used in the elementary music class the students are excited and eager to participate. They embrace the opportunity for self-expression and creativity.
