I love teaching young learners to read! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing emergent readers lean over a table and dig into a good book. It is amazing to watch early readers problem solve, construct meaning, and fall in love with stories, but learning these skills takes resources. While we have a campus leveled reader library, my students are in need of many of the other tools that make guided reading successful. Help me put manipulatives like ABC magnets, magnet boards, markers, and sentence strips in the hands of young readers. These manipulatives paired with great instruction will give those young readers their best shot at a bright future!
