Students will be able to stand on a whiteboard and collaborate during the solving problem process. Math is collaborative, needs to be written big, mistakes need to be easily analyzed and corrected. Students will be given a problem to solve as a collaborative group. They will need the vertical space to write out their thoughts and solutions. They need to be able to quickly see other's work in order to continue the collaborative, problem-solving process. Research into student learning shows that standing, collaborating, and working on a vertical space helps students with the problem-solving process.
