These hands-on manipulative teaching aides will help my children to do 1-to-1 correspondence, number identification, learning place values, and rote counting. These teaching aides will help them learn the foundation of math and literacy. These skills are vital in everyday living for counting money, baking/cooking, road directions, science, as well as the other STEM skills. The items selected, such as a tens frame or cubes, will specifically help the children learn place values from ones to tens to hundreds. This will help them later with basic multiplication.
