These STEM materials would be used daily for our “morning work” time. In the past, I had used paper sheets for reviewing topics. But this year, I would like my students to use STEM materials to engage their mind with hands-on manipulatives each morning. This will engage their creativity and help increase their motor skills. The materials will be rotated throughout the class each day so that all the students will have the opportunity to explore the different STEM materials. Some mornings will have free exploration and other mornings will come along with a challenge such as try to build the tallest structure, or the most sturdy structure. I believe students will have fun and not even realize the benefit for their little growing minds!
