My students are a part of a reading program called Growing Readers. The purpose of Growing Readers is to improve outcomes for readers through targeted instruction during teacher and student reading conferences. Under this program, students are expected to read independently and together each day. I believe that reading will become much more engaging and comfortable if students are allowed to explore their books using different alternative seating. My kindergarteners need and deserve a positive and flexible learning environment which I believe alternative seating will promote. Please help me to provide this experience to my wonderful students!
