In Pre K the best way to learn is through play, inquiry, and exploration. Having throughly stocked centers helps children do exactly that. A writing center would allow a place and time for children to explore, practice and play while building the skills they need for a strong foundation in their literary and writing skills. Especially for Title I students, closing the learning gap at an early age is very important to keep the children on level throughout their academic career. I would absolutely love for them to be provided a crazy amazing writing center in my classroom.
