Flexible seating allows students to make the choices that work best for them. Currently my students work at assigned desks and do not have many other options to choose from. I have seen amazing differences in my students when they are given choice. They are more engaged and get more work done than when they are just sitting at their "assigned" desk. When students are given a choice of where to work in the classroom they are more engaged, get more work done and are less disruptive. The items chosen will provide options to the students that they donʻt currently have. The wobble stools and bouncy bands will benefit students who need help focusing. The squishy floor seats will allow for additional seating options that they can easily move from one area to another. Choice has a positive affect on students mind set and learning and I hope that having more options will continue to have a positive impact on my students.
