As COVID cases rise in our state, my students and their parents are worried about how the schools are protecting scholars against the virus. The desk shields will provide an extra layer of protection and allow students to focus on learning instead of getting sick. There is not adequate space in the classroom for students to maintain social distance, so the desk shields will help to stop the spread airborne aerosols from saliva droplets when breathing or speaking. The transparency of the shields will permit students to see the teacher and their peers so that they can participate in whole and small group instruction.
