We all know the physical benefits of yoga, but did you know it can help strengthen social attachments, reduce stress and relieve anxiety, depression and insomnia? With the current climate of our world I would like to have a "Free Your Mind Friday," yoga session where our students can learn to let go of the mental/social-emotional stress of the week. PE is more than just playing games and walking the track. We want to give our students tools to take with them. Tools that will help them be better physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Yoga using these new mats is beneficial in doing this.
