Any type of math manipulatives will help these students to master their math facts. Using whiteboards daily is a must for this group of students. Especially during math time. This allows me to see if the students are mastering the lesson being taught. It also allows students to work with their peers and explain how they got a particular answer. With working with littles, often times markers lose their caps or the markers dry out. So it beneficial if we have enough to last the school year. Dry erasers are also beneficial. Instead of using tissue paper, having those easers helps tremendous and also saves the environment which is a plus.
