The following items will make a difference in my student's learning as flexible seating options have been shown to increase student engagement, excitement and ownership for learning. Students will have seating options that allow for comfort and movement while they work in small group settings. Many of my students are on the Autism spectrum and are moving and fidgeting quite a bit when learning and this will give them an avenue to do so in a productive and safe way. In addition, there are a set of stools that staff can use to quickly pull up next to a student desk so they can sit, eye level with the student, and support them with their work.
