I am requesting books and a carpet because I want my students to be comfortable during reading time. I want my classroom to feel like a home, where they can be comfortable while reading. This will help my students to get comfortable so they will be able to retain what they are reading, they will be able to concentrate, and they will get to move around the room. I have lots of picture books but I am limited with the amount of chapter books that I have. I am requesting chapter books for my third graders so they can have a large variety of books. In addition, I would like to create a reading corner that is comfortable where my students can take the time to go and read there, comfortably.
