Flexible seating gives students the option to switch out normal desk chairs for seats that promote coordination, balance, and more excitement. Flexible seating not only is fun but has it's educational benefits too. I did a project in college and came to the conclusion that flexible seating actually helps students with recall. This is because with a body in motion, their mind is sharper. Aside from those benefits, students sometimes need to get out of a chair and move. This flexible seating will allow them that option. I plan to use the flexible seating as a behavior motive as well by encouraging students to display good behaviors and then I will choose them to pick their desired flexible seating first. There are many uses and benefits for my students when I include flexible seating into my new classroom!
