First graders need flexible seating options that are developmentally appropriate. After such an unconventional and challenging first year of school, I want to create a welcoming environment where students are comfortable and can learn. By donating to this project you will greatly support the needs of these children. First graders are not meant to sit in hard plastic chairs all day! Their developing bodies need to squirm and wiggle. Offering flexible seating will allow them the space to do this!! Flexible Seating will also be a great tool for students struggling with sensory processing.

About my class
