Kindergarten students need to be close to the action to stay engaged. An easel where I can model writing letters, numbers, high frequency words, and sentences and display a pocket chart is essential. This easel will help me stay organized by providing a place for all the markers, erasers, pointers, and essentials required by a kindergarten teacher. The height also makes it perfect for students to participate in the lessons as they practice writing on the lines on the whiteboard, keeping them engaged and excited to learn! I will be able to remain focused and engaged with the students and not lose their interest while searching for supplies. The rolling cart makes it easy to be mobile throughout the room and make sure all students are able to see the examples and therefore learn and grow.
