Building a library in a 1st grade classroom must have variety of levels and interest. If students aren't challenged, they can't read the words or the books are not interesting to the students.... they won't be engaged. My mission is to build a library that I can rotate and hit all the sweet spots of ability and interest. Some of the books will go home and come back to school for those students who take part in a daily at home reading challenge. These books will be read with an adult at home and the child.
