We have the needed uniforms, however are in critical need of knee Pads to help protect them during practices and competitions. The majority of the student-athletes on my team have never played volleyball or any other competitive sports at the high school level. As first-time players, my students lack the knowledge of rules for volleyball. I will teach them the basics and fundamentals of Volleyball. Studies have and are showing a positive effect on young girls - with no detriment to academic performance - - the impact on girls’ perceptions of themselves. Additionally, there is a positive correlation between playing sports and increased confidence, body image, and personal relationships.
