Aim for equity, not equality. Have you ever been in a situation where you failed, but could have been successful given the appropriate tools for YOU? The end result is success; it should not matter what tools we use to get there. Some students can sit in your standard desk and chair and be completely fine; however, some students need more-more flexibility-more sensory, in order to succeed. Instead of teachers constantly telling their students to "sit down, stop moving, stop tapping", why not just cater to their sensory needs so that we can focus on what truly matters; academics. The wobble balance will cater to my students who like to work standing up and need something to do with their feet. The different chair variations offer different material sensory. They will have a fur option, a foam option, or even a rubber option. The rubber ball and stool will provide my students with the seated body movement they need.
