Students are not made to sit in the same chair all school day, so the use of flexible seating gives students the opportunity to change their scenery and be comfortable at the same time. Students can make their table seat more comfortable while learning in whole group. Students can enjoy a book in a relaxing bean bag. Students can do classwork sitting on the floor while having a table right there in front of them. My kindergarten students would benefit from the flexibility of being able to work anywhere in the classroom while still being comfortable. Students will be able to have a choice of the kind flexible seating they would like to use to help them stay engaged and learning.
