Last year, as a first year teacher, my math lessons needed more engagement and organization. This year, guided math is going to allow students to meet with me for individualized small group learning while the rest of the class moves through centers focused on problem-solving, and teamwork. By setting up my room for guided math, you empower my students to learn in ways that meet their specific strengths and needs. I will use the storage materials to keep the learning organized, dry erase markers and Post-its for quick assessments of learning, and the gift card to buy curriculum/task cards/games/activities.
