Students who struggle with reading will often struggle in every subject. As a 3rd grade teacher who delivers instruction in all subjects to my class, I find that once they learn to love reading for fun they will read more both at school and at home and they are able to increase their reading level tremendously throughout the year. Reading can be the biggest wall or the biggest gateway for students to access their education and love learning at school. I would like to re-design and add comfort to my classroom reading area for my students so they are more excited and comfortable to build their reading stamina. A printer and Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to update our current reading curriculum and activities to more engaging and appropriate resources, reading material, and educational stations for students for our whole 3rd grade team!
