I am requesting puzzles, books and craft supplies. Play-based speech therapy sessions can help increase engagement, attention, and enhance positive interactions. I can plan individualized or group sessions that are relevant to the child's interests. Doing this creates more opportunities for the child to practice the target skill. Children learn the social skills necessary to play with toys and make progress on speech and/or language goals in a naturalistic setting. These toys will allow my students to differentiate between wh- questions and play at the same time. With these new books, my students will be well on their way to answering who, what, when, where, why questions, making inferences about the passage, and sequencing events.
