I am taking over as the Library Media Specialist in a rural district that has never had a STEM centered learning approach. I am entering a media center with essentially no media, other than student chrome books. My goal is to get as many manipulatives as possible into the hands of my students. I am hoping to begin weekly STEM challenges for students to complete that tie in with rich literature we will be sharing. By providing them with hands on manipulatives they will be able to branch out beyond the pencil and paper activities they are used to.

About my class
