As a math teacher in a specialized school (students begin switching classes in grade 2) my classroom is extensively equipped with math manipulatives. But what do students do when they finish early and need to scour the bookshelf for a book to read quietly? It is my hope to build a classroom library that will fit the interests of all students with options from different topics and categories for all reading levels. Having books readily available for students when they are in my classroom they don't have to worry about what happens if they finish their Just Right book before they are back in their ELA classroom. Completing this classroom library for my math classroom will encourage a love of reading in all students!
