Students in my high school life skills class participate in a variety of pre-vocational learning opportunities throughout the school building in order to prepare for their post-secondary goals. Students will be able to utilize the crafting materials to make materials for their coffee shop, make materials (orders) for other teachers, create greeting cards for special occasions, etc. All of these skills allow students to practice functional academic skills, promote independence, and foster communication skills. The more students can see their learning put in action in real-life situations, the more committed to life-long learning they become.

About my class
