Our project is creating a balance of our population needs to our specific, fragile habitat in Palmetto, Florida. We will document our interviews with scientists, builders utilizing these personal journals and, through the design process, innovate solar based projects that preserve our natural habitats. Students will design prototypes with clay, pipe cleaners, duct tape and straws and then build their design utilizing washers to test for durability, utilizing and documenting design process on their clipboards. My students are very involved in their community, and love having their voices heard in their community, so we will design and deliver a night involving our parents and community.
