I have found that my students learn best through hands on activities. They learn the best when they are having fun so in my room I try to play games with my students to learn new material. Instead of giving them a list of vocab to study I like to have them practice with games. The materials I am asking for will help my students learn their food vocabulary in a fun way. I will name 3-5 food items in the target language (Spanish) and each group will have to place the correct food on their plate. First group to get it correct will get a point. The next day I will call on a handful of students to lead the class in the game. The student will name the food for the groups to place on their plate from memory. We'll also use these to practice before the game and as a visual aid for their food project at the end of the unit.
