My students have to take time to independently read every day during class. We are trying to get their stamina up in order to accurately take the reading state test without feeling tired. Having these books accessible in the classroom will help students tremendously because they will be able to have them every day, and even take them home to read if necessary. Many of my students do not have the funds to even have books at home or ever even buy one, so I want them to feel like they have a book in my classroom.
